About Bloom After Birth
My Why:
I became a postpartum doula because of my own journey through high-risk pregnancies. What should have felt simple and joyful was often layered with fear, medical appointments, uncertainty, and the emotional weight of not knowing what each day might bring.
While I am endlessly grateful for my children, those seasons stretched me in ways I never expected. I learned how isolating pregnancy and postpartum can feel when you’re navigating complications. I learned how much reassurance matters. I learned how powerful it is to have someone steady by your side.
After walking through that experience myself, I felt called to become the support I once needed. I wanted other birthing parents — especially those coming from high-risk pregnancies, birth trauma, or medically complex journeys — to feel seen, safe, and deeply cared for in the postpartum season.
My experiences didn’t just make me a mom; they shaped the kind of doula I am. I bring empathy without judgment, calm in the unknown, and a deep respect for the emotional layers that come after a complicated pregnancy or birth.
Postpartum is not just about caring for a baby — it’s about caring for the birthing parent, too. And no one should have to navigate that alone.
